We’re delighted to announce the latest addition to the Halliwell Jones BMW Junior Golf Academy, Abergele Golf Club.
After meeting with Stuart Runcie, PGA Professional at the club, he spoke about the clear vision and plan for the future of developing junior golf at Abergele.
Already in place is an active junior programme with the SRG Junior School of Golf, which required additional funding to help support current junior members, whilst also driving new juniors to take up the sport.
With the funding from Halliwell Jones, Abergele Golf Club have invested this money in the following areas.
- - Coaching in local Primary schools
- - Golf equipment
- - Junior competitions
- - Branded golf caps
We were delighted to join Stuart and his team at one of the coaching sessions held at a local school, Ysgol Glan Morfa Primary School. It was great to see young children having the opportunity to have a taster of the sport, which they previously wouldn’t experience.
