In November 2024 two members of our team Phil Jones, Head of Business at North Wales and Alex Houghton, Group Stock Manager, are embarking on 450km cycling challenge across India in aid of Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice.
Zoe's Place Liverpool provides a much-needed short break service, palliative and end-of-life care to babies and infants aged from birth to 5 years. Their dedicated team of nurses ensures that every child, regardless of their life-limiting or life-threatening condition, can experience the joy and fulfilment of living life to the fullest.
The hospice is searching for vital financial support to help fund their new premises, which will be built in 2025 at a cost of £3.5 million. Not only does the hospice require vital funds for their new premises, but they also require funds for running costs that are roughly £1.5million to keep the hospice running on a 24/7 basis.
After a recent visit to the hospice, Phil and Alex were inspired to help raise funds for this charity. Phil stated “Zoe’s Place provides unbelievable help and support to critically ill children. To see first-hand the amazing care and support the children and their families receive from the staff inspired Alex and myself to help and try to make a difference for this incredible charity.”
Gina, Senior Corporate and Major Donor Fundraiser from Zoe's Place added "Witnessing businesses like Halliwell Jones fully engage in our Capital Appeal Cycle Challenge has been truly inspiring. Undertaking such a significant challenge is no easy task, yet they've embraced it wholeheartedly and have already raised an impressive amount for our new home. We are so grateful for their support and look forward to our ongoing partnership."
Our dynamic duo will head out on the 16 November on this gruelling 10-day fundraiser as part of a 49-man team that includes ex-Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler and hosts of Have a Word Podcast, Adam Rowe and Dan Nightingale.
We wish them the best of luck and we’re supporting
you every “pedal” of the way!
If you would like to donate, please visit their Just Giving page. Both Phil and Alex will greatly appreciate any size donation.
