After a 4,231-mile flight from Manchester to Delhi, Phil and Alex embarked on a life-changing 450km Cycle Challenge through the heart of India, all in support of Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice Liverpool.
The journey began in Delhi and took them through the majestic landscapes of Rajasthan. Along the way, they experienced bustling cities, exotic smells, and breathtaking wildlife, creating once-in-a-lifetime memories.
Before the cycling began, they visited the iconic city of Agra to marvel at the stunning Taj Mahal. From there, they traveled to the deserted kingdom of Fatehpur Sikri, where their bikes awaited to begin the adventure.
A major highlight of the trip was a thrilling close encounter with a Royal Bengal Tiger in Ranthambore National Park. However, not all wildlife encounters were quite so regal—one cheeky baboon managed to swipe three socks from three different pairs while they were drying overnight!
Six unforgettable days later, the journey concluded on the outskirts of Jaipur, Rajasthan’s vibrant 'Pink City.' The challenge left them with countless stories, memories, and a deep sense of accomplishment.
Phil and Alex extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated to Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice Liverpool and to #CharityChallenge for organizing this incredible adventure.
Now it’s time to return to reality, but the impact of this journey will last a lifetime.
